There is judging and then there is judging. We don't have the right to judge others while dismissing our own faults. We shouldn't judge with a critical or hypocritical heart. We should pay more attention to what we are doing than what those around us are doing - look inward first before looking outward.
I do believe we have the right to discern a behavior or a situation (not the person) and decipher if it could bring harm to us or our loved ones. The intent behind of judgment can vary. It may come from malice, jealousy, resentment or anger or it may come from a genuine place of wanting to help another do better in life or prevent them from harm. If judgment comes from a sense of superiority, it is wrong.
We should edify and help build each other up and judgment, with malice, does just the opposite. Pay attention to the intent when discerning a situation. If your heart is in the right place, you may be helping someone. It's important to understand the difference between judging a person with ill-intentions and discerning a situation that could bring harm.

ReplyDeleteSorry because always judge you but I'm happily like to be your judge. You have to change yourself. Whatever people said about you, you kept silent and inside you're bleeding. Yes, I'm not ALLAH to judge you but I won't leave you until you're married, sorry to say this.
